Selling the Movie?

I Seriosuly love Sara G. Although not particularly because of her acting skills or her infallibly diva pipes but because she is so real, so honest, raw that sh totally is a breath of fresh air in a business full of Kris Aquino's.

That said, i super regret putting out this review about her latest flick: CATCH ME... I'M IN LOVE.
Starring gorgeous boy hunk Gerald Anderson, this movie rides the "langit-lupa (heaven and earth) lovers" train into my list of worst movies to hit the Pinoy cinema.
why?
  1. The Title - I mean seriously, the ellipses, are they really necessary? I'm sorry, but i'm not that big a fan of the 90's where every movie title was a song title and i'm not gonna start being a fan of it now. Why can't you think of better titles for a romantic flick? why do you have to blatantly put it out there - fine, it's a romantic comedy... we kinda know that already... hello! Gerald Anderson? Sarah Geronimo... that's their thing. You don't have to put LOVE in the title to let people know it's a romantic comedy. Examples of really good pinoy titles: MY AMNESIA GIRL, WHO'S THAT GIRL, HERE COMES THE BRIDE, HATING KAPATID, MANO PO.
  2. Product Placements - need i say more? The basketball scene - MILO, all phones are myphone... garghhhhh...
  3. The Theme - How many movies do we have that tells the story of two lovers which are torn by the difference of their social status? Seriously? Are we this empty of creativity?
  4. Matteo - why is he a poster character? in the movie he hardly has any lines, any scene. And i'm so sorry... why does his station force him into acting? He just can't do it... he has a fab body, but the face is just exotic is all... nothing special....
  5. SCRIPT - cliche, corny, used up... uninspired... watch the movie for yourself...
That and more... just watch it or not... you wouldn't be missing anything really...
