Inkling's Story of the Day, Easter

Story of the day: LAST MEAL'S REAL DATE!!!

Apparently some guy called Prof. Humphreys of Univ. of Cambridge has figured to reconcile an apparent contradiction in the four Gospels - when did the Last Meal take place?

You see, in the first Gospels of the New Testament - Matthew, Mark and Luke - the Last Meal took place during passover, while according to John (oh! Johnny boy... ) it took place before the passover. Confusing right?

Well anyway, click the link above to read through the original article.

The article isn't really conclusive, or at least substantiated well enough to really paint a super clear picture. They just threw in some phrases like "old-fashioned Jewish calendar rather than the official lunar calendar " and "explaining how such a large number of events took place between the meal and the crucifixion" which don't really explain much (although a picture is painted well enough to help us understand that there is no inconsistency with the Gospels, but not really answering why there had to be that difference... Divine Inspiration means every little detail has it's inherent purpose, right? Or at least, it's definitive contextualization as to the writer or writers and/or implications)

Prof. Humphreys seems to know what he's talking about, though, so maybe he just wants us to read his book or something.

Whatever... Fun yeah?
